About Health & Wellness Coaching
What is a certified health and wellness coach?
A certified health and wellness coach is a trained professional who partners with you to help you create lasting, positive changes in your health, mindset, and daily habits. Unlike a doctor or therapist who diagnoses, a health and wellness coach focuses on the whole person by helping you identify your goals and uncover what's been holding you back. A coach doesn't tell you what to do, they will ask questions that guide you to make your own decisions during the coaching process.
What's the difference between a health and wellness coach, a therapist, a nutritionist or trainer?
Great question...
A therapist focuses on diagnosing and treating mental health conditions, often exploring the past. A nutritionist or dietitian provides clinical guidance on diet and medical conditions. A trainer will work with you on proper techniques inside the gym or during exercise. A health and wellness coach bridges lifestyle, mindset, energy and habits which helps you move forward towards a life you desire. Many people work with all three at some point in their journey.
Do I need to have a health problem to work with a wellness coach?
Not at all.
Many of my clients come to coaching feeling "fine" but not fulfilled. They have lost their Spark. Tired, stressed, burned out, running on empty, sad, low energy or simply ready for more. You don't need a diagnosis or a crisis to benefit from coaching. If you want more clarity, balance, joy or to feel like you're back in the driver's seat, coaching is for you.
What does a typical coaching session look like?
Sessions are client driven...
Our sessions will be conversational, collaborative, and 100% focused on you. I will ask thoughtful questions to help you gain clarity, celebrate what's working, and identify small, meaningful steps forward. Sessions are typically held virtually via phone, Teams or Zoom call and run for 60 minutes. Between sessions, you'll create action items and tools that fit your lifestyle.

How is working with Melissa different from reading a self-help book, listening to a podcast or asking AI for help?
Human personalized coaching...
Books, podcasts and AI can give you great information.
Coaching helps you actually apply it.
When you work with me, we don’t just talk about habits, we practice new ways of thinking and responding in real time. That repetition rewires patterns so change sticks.
Do you offer virtual coaching sessions?
Yes!
I work with clients virtually, which means you can access coaching from the comfort of your home, office, or anywhere you have some quiet space. Virtual sessions are just as personal and effective as in-person ones.

Getting Started
How do I know if coaching is right for me?
If you've been feeling stuck, exhausted, overwhelmed, or like you're going through the motions, coaching might be exactly what you need. If you are the type of person who doesn't want to be told what to do, and you want the confidence to figure it out by yourself, coaching may be the answer. The best way to find out is to have a conversation. My free consultation call is a no-pressure way to explore whether it's a good fit.
What should I expect in the first few weeks of coaching?
Hearing your thoughts spoken out loud will be enlightening.
This is one of the first "ah ha" moments clients recognize. When we listen to the thoughts inside our heads, spoken out loud, there is a shift and brand new awareness that happens. In the early sessions, I will focus on getting to know you deeply- your values, your goals, what's working, and what's not. You'll begin to identify patterns and build small but meaningful habits. Most clients report feeling more clarity and energy within the first few weeks, even before big changes take place.
What outcomes can I expect?
You become unrecognizable to your old patterns.
Old, negative patterns are acknowledged and shifted or erased entirely. You learn to respond instead of reacting. You will no longer poll your friends, relatives or parter and you'll believe and trust your own instincts.
